For the last 7 years we have had an amazing Cheltenham Preview dinner the Saturday before the festival. Unfortunately, that is not possible this year. Not wanting the winning run to come to an end we have organised an amazing evening for a select number of people.
We are pleased to announce that if we can't all get to dinner, we will bring dinner to you!
If you are thinking of joining us please do it now. Places are limited to similar numbers as if it were at the Bleeding Heart Restaurant and we also have to close it off well before the event as it takes some organising.
This is how the evening works.
Bettingemporium Cheltenham Preview Zoom Dinner - Saturday 13th March 2021 at 7pm
A really decent standard three course meal will be delivered to you by noon on Saturday 13th March. All the food is an excellent standard, pre prepared and will arrive by refrigerated courier. All you have to do is put it in the oven or microwave and instructions will be provided. There is also one bottle of wine, red or white, for each person. I also have a really good technical person to oversee the planning and the evening itself. The way it works is that you all just turn up at 7pm sharp. Just the panel will be able to be speak and be heard and everyone else will be muted (Steve, the tech guy, and myself will be able to talk too).

645pm panel arrive (Neil Channing, Rory Delargy, Lydia Hislop and Sean Boyce are all confirmed)
The Panel
7pm Guests arrive. Sean introduces panel and talks through opening races
730pm starters
During courses we break off into 'breakout rooms' with our own tables. Each panel member will be on a table with about 7 or 8 guests (as at the Bleeding Heart) and during this time you will be on a zoom call with just the people on your table.
We are aiming for similar numbers to Bleeding Heart spilt in similar ways. Maybe 5 tables of 8 or similar. There should be lots of familiar faces.
8pm back to panel for race talk and everyone else is muted
830pm main course - breakout
9pm more panel chat
945pm dessert - breakout
1015pm – 1045pm race chat to end
During the evening we will also have our charity bets, kindly sponsored by Betconnect.com. Details about Betconnect can be found here .
Each member of the panel will have a £50 bet (or £25ew) on their NAP and any returns go to DOTS https://www.dogsonthestreets.org/ a wonderful charity that supports the UKs homeless.
We may have a questions and answers section and all timings are tbc (and flexible) and we will invite questions to be submitted pre-event. I will arrange brochures to be emailed to everyone.
We will be charging guests at cost (we hope to break even) at £77 (if a couple then the 2nd dinner is £12 cheaper as we save that on delivery).
